Please welcome Sean Yoder to oneighturbo. Three wheelin Auto-X Mini

oneighturbo’s 2013 is off to a good start with a new addition to our team, Sean Yoder. We met Sean at the Forza Motorsport party during the 2011 Petit Le Mans. Forza 4 was running on these amazing simulators from simcraft. Sean’s first mission… The Rolex 24 at Daytona!

Read on to learn a bit more about Mr. Yoder and let him know how’s he doing in the comments.

I realized at a very early age that most things involving internal combustion power plants and tires will lead you to incredible levels of fun. The love of all things horsepower based started around the age of five with a motorcycle and go kart supplied by my Grandfather. There is no way he could have known what these two gifts would kick start. Lifelong Motorsport obsession, ENGAGE!

The need to race kicked in around thirteen years old and sitting here at forty two; I do not see that slowing down any time soon. Fortunate does not begin to describe how I feel about the vehicles I have raced and the people met along the way. We kicked the racing off with Moto-Cross at the age of thirteen and mixed in some shifter karts on the off weekends for good measure. After realizing that four wheels suited me better than two, there were a series of stock cars, legends, shifter karts and some touring cars thrown in for good measure. I have been instructing at the club level since the 90’s and involved in high level motorsport simulation development since 2004. Professional level instructing entered into the mix end of 2010 with a stint at the Porsche Sport Driving School and the door opened with a few other manufacturers at the start of 2012.

Seeing as we are talking all things Volkswagen here, I will go ahead and profess my love for the brand. Several air cooled versions have graced my driveway over the years. 66 and 69 Beetles, 62 and 67 Split Windows and moving over to water cooling I have raced a TurboS Beetle and Mk4 R32 in various SCCA events. I am no stranger to the brand and very proud to be involved with ONEIGHTURBO.com.

Some recent results

  • Won the SCCA Atlanta National Tour in 2011 in HS
  • Trophied at the 2011 SCCA Solo National Championship
  • 3rd at the Arkansas Pro Solo in STF
  • Second at the Arkansas SCCA national tour In STF
  • All autocross and pro solo

If it has wheels and an engine and there are two or more sitting around, it is time to race!

Thanks everyone!
